Brief Description

Course Description: This paved course begins and ends at the shelter of Kiwanis Recreation Center. There will be a “turn around” at the 1.55 mile marker on Summertime Road: where water will be made available. Prizes: Will be awarded to the top male and female finishers. There will be a trophy for group runners. Whomever has the most runners/walkers wins. Strollers & Pets (pets must be on leash) are allowed.

Additional Information

All proceeds will go to Operation Sickle Cell, Inc (OSC), Fayetteville, NC. OSC, Inc. was founded in 1971, as a voluntary non-profit community based organization with the goal of addressing needed services for individuals with hemoglobin diseases and other health disparities. Sickle cell anemia is a disease passed down through families in which red blood cells form an abnormal crescent shape. (Red blood cells are normally shaped like a disc.)
