Brief Description

Since 1972, CONTACT Crisis Help Line has been there when all other agencies close their doors for the day. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day and night of the year, a volunteer answers the phone when someone needs help. We take calls from the lost, the lonely, the abused, the grieving, those without hope, those who believe there is no help. Your participation in the Run supports the Crisis Line. You are running for help and people are counting on you to cross the finish line.

History

This is CONTACT Crisis Helpline's 16th Annual Run. All proceeds support the 24-hour crisis line.

Fees

$25.00 Pre-registration; $20 ages 15 and under.

Early registration closes March 1, 2012.

Late registration is $30 all ages. Race runs rain or shine. No refunds. No credit cards on race day.

Packet Pick-up

Get your Irish on! We're celebrating our run being held on St. Patrick's Day by doing packet pick-up on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 6:30-9 p.m. at Paddy's Irish Public House, 2606B Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304, (910-677-0055).

Awards

For the 10K and 5K, the top three overall males and females will receive trophies for each race. Medals will also be awarded to the first 50 finishers in each race.

1 Mile Walk

1 Mile Fun Walk is a way for members of our community who may not want to run to support CONTACT Crisis Line. This is a non-competitive walk so no awards are given. Bring your strollers, your small children, your pets on a leash, just come and enjoy the walk. Pre-register so you can be sure to get a tee shirt.

Sleep Walker Entry

Sleep Walkers are entries who want to support the race and CONTACT, want the tee-shirt but don't want to get out of bed on race day! You must pre-register, indicate you are a "Sleep Walker" and we will mail your tee-shirt to you. This is a $20 entry fee, no refund. We will not mail tee-shirts to any other category of entries.

Costume Contest

Show yer luck o' de Irish! Best St. Patrick's Day Costume for Male and Female will receive a prize. EVERY PRE-REGISTERED PARTICIPANT WILL ALSO RECEIVE AN IRISH THEMED HAT BEFORE THE RACE! HAVE FUN, BRING YOUR CAMERAS!
