Jenny Hadfield

Coach Jenny Hadfield is the co-author of the best-selling Marathoning for Mortals and Running for Mortals, and a columnist for Women’s Running Magazine and RunnersWorld.com. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, a Masters Degree in Exercise Science and is a certified coach and personal trainer.

Jenny began her running career struggling to get down the street. Step by step, she trained, raced and became a top-ranked endurance athlete who has raced all over the world including three Eco-Challenge Expedition Races, the Antarctica Marathon and the Boston Marathon. Jenny recently set the women’s distance record by riding the ElliptiGO from Chicago to Toronto 508 miles in six days.

Her unique coaching style draws on her years of personal, group and online training and her unyielding passion to help people achieve goals they never imagined they could. Jenny's own story of struggle, of overcoming obstacles, of finding her inner strength, and of her ultimate victory over perceived limitations continues to inspire everyone she encounters.

"It’s all about the Journey - was the response I was given by coach Jenny to my repeated inquiries about how to get to the finish line of my first marathon in the fastest time possible. Her insightful words helped me to realize, that it was alright to slow things down, that it was crucial that I be present throughout my entire training experience, that I not just train for a finish line, but train for a “forever line”. I carry those words with me to this day and I’m proud to say that while on my journey I have indeed crossed a few finish lines, but more importantly that I continue training for my forever line! Thank you Coach Jenny for helping to make me a life long runner!"

"Jenny Hadfield is an amazing motivator. She makes regular people believe they can undertake amazing things—and then she's there all the way to encourage them, right down to the finish line. I've never met another coach quite like her."
