Brief Description

The Tri-state Athletic Club March Madness is the second race of the Winter Meltdown Series which consists of the 2nd Annual USI Hearts on Fire (HOF) 5k race and the 3rd Annual Southern Indiana Classic Half and Full Marathon (qualifier for the Boston Marathon).

The University of Southern Indiana (USI) Tri-state Athletic Club March Madness will offer safe, fun, and exciting road races that enourages community participation for kids and adults.

Schedule

7:30 am – Registration Check-In
8:00 am – 1:00 pm – Overtime FunFest
9:00 am – March Madness 1k run/walk
10:30 am – Half-Time Runs & 1 mile run/walk

Half-Time Fun Runs

The Half-Time Fun Runs are offered for all ages and will begin following the March Madness 10k. Each Half-Time Fun Run participant will receive a medal.

March Madness 10k Contests

There will be prizes awarded to the Best Team “family” Spirit, Best Mascot, and #1 Fan-Best Dressed.

Overtime FunFest

The Tri-state Athletic Club March Madness Overtime Funfest is an after-party for both adults and kids consisting of free food & giveaways, inflatables, and multiple vendors. The March Madness 10k Overtime Funfest will make a wonderful ending to the March Madness 10k race.

Age Divisions

Ihe following age divisions will have awards for the top 3 places in male & female and overall male & female 5k.

15 & under
16-17
18-19
20-24
25-29
30-34
35-39
40-44
45-49
50-54
55-59
60-64
65+

The top 3 places in the 1 mile and 5k walk will be awarded a medal. All Half-time Fun Run participants will receive a medal

Early Packet Pick-Up

Early Packet Pick-up will be available beginning on Friday, March 2nd from 5:00 – 8:00pm in the Recreation and Fitness Center.

Proceeds

All proceeds from the event will support the Sport Management Scholarship and Professional Development fund offered through the University of Southern Indiana Physical Education Department.

Event Refund Policy

Entry fees are non-refundable. Entries are non-deferrable to another year. That means that once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not transfer your entry to another year.
