Brief Description

On September 6, 2012, we lost Passion Foundation founder Tara Parla to her courageous battle with Stage 4 Melanoma. The mother of two young children created and ran this foundation with her husband Jon and family. Her goal was to have sun shades covering all school playgrounds in Southwest Florida.

All proceeds to benefit The Passion Foundation, a local non-profit, whose mission is to keep our children shaded and safe from the sun's harmful rays while at school. Offically timed cross-country race. First 200 registrants will recieve an event t-shirt. This is an event for the whole family! Radio remotes, food, bounce houses, and a 1 mile fun walk. 5K is a TRUE cross-country course, including grass and a hill. Strollers advised to stay on 1 mile fun walk. Official race times will be posted. Runners 12 and under are free. Prizes awarded for top finishers. TARA'S JINGLE JOG is adding a new twist this year! Come dressed as your favorite holiday character (Santa, Rudolph, elves) or in festive holiday colors. Prizes awarded for best costume! Pinewoods Elementary and Three Oaks Elementary Schools in Estero have already been covered! Rayma C. Page Elementary in Ft. Myers is next on the list!
