FINISHER MEDALS for all participants. Awards three deep in M/F age catagories in the 5K & 10K. Form a team to be elgible for team awards too.

Official Cool-Down race of the Honda LA Marathon. Meet the Celebrities: Meet Olympic legend, Rafer Johnson who will be presenting the winning medals at the awards ceremony and available for photos., Join Master of Ceremonies Shawn Parr, Go Country 105 fm and see commander Chuck Street land the KIIS helicopter;. Also, the LA Laker Girls are invited back to lead the aerobiv warm-up exercises.

Everyone is encouraged to stay and enjoy the exciting Business, Health and Fitness Expo, complimentary food and drinks (Los Toros Mexican Restaurant, Panera Bread, Jamba Juice, Albertsons Market and Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream), the Cool-Down Lounge (Free massage from Naya Fresh Body Spa and Everest College Massage Therapy), and the Kids Fun Zone (karate demonstrations and balloon sculptures.)

What the Proceeds Benefit:

The Center for Assault Treatment Services (CATS) at Northridge Hospital Medical Center is the only 24/7 program for victims of sexual assault and abuse in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys. CATS provides medical evidentiary exams, forensic interviews, case management and referrals to victims of all ages. Since 1997, CATS has provided critically needed services to nearly 10,000 victims of sexual abuse and sexual assault to help them begin the process of healing and recovery!

The Course

The 5K starts on Woodley Avenue and travels past the Golf Course and into Lake Balboa Park, then circles the Lake and returns to finish in Woodley Park. The 10K starts on Woodley Avenue with runners going past the Basin Wildlife area, along the LA River Tributary, past Woodley Lakes Golf Course and past Lake Balboa Park to finish in beautiful Woodley Park. The Kids Fun Run goes around Woodley Park, circling the expo. Both races are fast and flat!

FORM A TEAM!

Team Captains must register online first by selecting the Team Captain category and entering team name. Team Members can then register by selecting the Team Member category and selecting the appropriate team name from the drop down box on the form. When you register online, a fundraising page will automatically be created for you. You will be able to customize your page (add a picture, set a goal, etc). Team Fund-raising pages will be created when the Team Captain registers.
