Important Event Information
In order to make Check-In and Chip Pick-up for PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY more convenient, the City of Encinitas is offering the opportunity to check-in the night before the race. On Friday, May 18th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. you can check-in and pick up your chip at the Encinitas Community/Senior Center located at 1140 Oakcrest Park Dr. in Encinitas. This is a great way to beat the crowds on the morning of the race! If you can’t make it on the 18th, you can check-in and pick up your chip beginning at 6:30 a.m. on Race Day at the Moonlight beach parking lot. Race t-shirts and goodie bags can be picked up after the event by showing your race bib.
The Encinitas 5K Run/Walk uses chip timing with a barcode bib backup system. Your timing chip number must match your bib number and be worn on your shoe.
Our course is fast and flat, starting is at 3rd and C St. and finishing at the Moonlight Beach parking lot. A water/aid station will be on Second St. between G & H St. (approx. 1.5 miles). There is a single start and your individual time starts as you cross the starting line. For a course map, please visit www.EncinitasRace.com
Will be posted at the Award Ceremony Stage as soon as they are available. Official results will be announced at the Awards Ceremony, at approximately 9:30am and posted at www.eventsbyprimetime.com.
Parking and Information
There is no designated parking. Please avoid parking in front of businesses. Public parking is available at the Encinitas Civic Center on Vulcan Avenue. Allow yourself time to park and walk to the Moonlight Beach parking lot. After the run, check out the Encinitas Sports Festival in the Moonlight Beach parking lot and grab a bite to eat at one of the many terrific downtown restaurants.
