Brief Description

The Alumni Association is excited to announce the first annual Dragon Dash. This race is open to all families and friends of Glenelg Country School. Proceeds will go toward funding a college scholarship for a GCS student in the Class of 2011.

Race Course Description and Regulations

The cross country course traverses the school’s scenic campus, taking runners (and walkers) from open fields to wooded paths but is not suitable for wheelchairs, strollers or pets. If choosing to participate in the 1 Mile Family Walk down the shady, flat driveway of the school, then the use of strollers and wheelchairs is permitted (still no pets).

T-Shirts, Amenities and Awards

All pre-registered entrants will receive a Dragon Dash t-shirt. T-shirt sizes and availability are not guaranteed if registering after September 17, 2010 and on the morning of the Race Day. A pre-race warm-up, plenty of water and post-race snacks will be provided. Enjoy music and activities for the entire family! Random prizes will be awarded to walkers and runners.

By mail: Send your completed entry form and check made payable to Glenelg Country School to: Glenelg Country School, Dragon Dash, 12793 Folly Quarter Road, Ellicott City, MD 21042. Mailed registration must be received by September 17, 2010.

Online: Register at www.active.com by September 28, 2010 (a processing fee applies)

Entry Fees

$20 Adult, $12 Student if registering before September 24, 2010 (children too young to attend GCS are free and do not receive a shirt)

$30 Adult, $18 Student if registering after September 24, 2010 and on Race Day (shirt not guaranteed)
