Brief Description

The Kaiser Permanente First Annual Running of the Elk Half Marathon, Relay, and THRIVE 5K will take place on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the Elk Grove Auto Mall in Elk Grove, California. The course is flat and fast and the race will be followed by a fun family fitness expo. EARLY REGISTRATION PRICE UNTIL FEBRUARY 29, 2012.

Micro-fiber shirts for Half Marathon, Relay, AND 5K participants; Flat and fast course; Custom finisher medals for ALL Half Marathon and Relay finishers and cool age-group awards; Disposable Chip timing courtesy of A Change of Pace; Ideal weather; Delicious post-race food and beverages. Special recognition to all first time half marathon runners! First, second and third place overall male and female in the Half Marathon receive special prizes. First masters male and female win special prizes. Age-group winners earn unique elk-related awards. Second and third place age-group finishers win custom medals. Overall male and female and masters female and male winners in the 5k earn special prizes while top three age group finishers will be awarded custom medals. Top three all male, all female, and co-ed relay teams win special prizes.
