Additional Information
The 3rd annual Tracks n Treads 3.8 Mile Trail Run and Off-Road Biathlon will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 31. The run portion is mostly on rugged single track trail. The biathlon will feature an 8.5-mile bike course on single-track mountain bike trails and a 3.8 mile trail run.
Tracks n Treads is sponsored by Metro Tri Club, an organization of triathletes, runners, cyclists and swimmers, most of whom live in the Metro East. The group, nicknamed Team Godzilla, also sponsors the grueling Pere Marquette Endurance Trail Run each year at Pere Marquette State Park.
"With the heightened interest in both trail running and mountain biking in the area, Metro Tri Club thought it was time to showcase some of our local trails to build interest in the two sports while at the same time making fitness fun and exciting," says Tracks n Treads Race Director Robin Rongey, who also serves as vice president of Metro Tri Club. "This is an exciting event that will be fun and memorable, and it brings those in the running and mountain biking community together for one event in a beautiful venue."
Athletes can register for the 5K run only or biathlon as individuals or as part of two-person teams.
This course is the same course used for the EHS Mud Mountain Race. The Bike course will be altered if there are extremely wet weather conditions.
Shirts guaranteed to first 150 registered.
