Brief Description

Join us for the 15th running of the Mud Mountain 5k Cross Country Classic and 1-Mile Fun Run. The race is held on the NCAA-approved cross country course at SIU-Edwardsville, about 20 minutes northeast of downtown St. Louis. All proceeds benefit cross country and track & field programs in the Edwardsville school district.

Additional Information

The 5K race is run on a moderately challenging cross country course with some hills. The 5K begins at 8 a.m. followed by a one-mile fun run after the 5K is finished. Traditionally, more than 500 runners enter Mud Mountain, with hundreds of spectators along the scenic and wooded course at Southern Illinois University. T-shirts are given to all runners; medals are given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age division.
