Packet Pick-up will be held at the Delafield Bre Haus. Packet pick-up is on Friday from 4-7pm and Saturday from 1-4pm.

Age: 15-19, 20-24, 25- 29, 30 -34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, Masters, Special Needs Category This will be a chip timed event. All participants will receive a tech-t and additional sponsor items.
Trophies will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each race distance. The first place Olympic distance male and female triathletes will have the honor of directing $1,000 to their choice of children’s hospital/program. The first place male and female sprint distance triathletes will be able to direct $250 each and the supersprint winners $100 each. Winners will have their names placed on the overall winners plaque.
The Tri-ing for Children's Fastest Team Challenge will be awarded to the overall fastest Club, Corporate or High School team. (High School, Club and Corporate teams can also win their respective category awards.) Athletes should choose team name from the drop down menu, or create their team name right at the top of this page.. Rules are available at www.TriingforChildrens.com.
Corporations and Tri-Clubs can form teams to bring together employees to compete for the Tri-ing for Children's Fastest Corporate or Tri-Club Team award, and Corporate or Tri-Club Spirit Award earning a trophy in each category. See www.TriingforChildrens.com for team rules.
High School teams will be competing for the top honors as the Fastest High School team. A first place and a runner up trophy will be provided. A High School Spirit trophy award will be provided for the overall high school showing their school spirit. See www.TriingforChildrens.com for rules and details.
Each participant will be required to have USAT insurance. One day USAT insurance can be purchased at time of registration for $10.00. If you are a USAT annual member, this fee is waived.
By registering for the Tri-ing for Children’s triathlon, you will be automatically given your own on-line “Tri-ing for Smiles” charity fundraising page link to raise donations in honor of your participation in this event. Fundraising participation is optional. Please refer to our website at TriingforChildrens.com to see the incentive rewards that can be earned, which include a sterling logo necklace/pendant,
Jandd Tri Backpack, GPS/Heart Monitors, Blue Seventy Helix wetsuits (a $450 value), or funding for a Edvest 529 college savings plan. Through Active.com Giving, fundraising is made easy; just send out electronic notes to raise donations right on-line, without direct solicitations. You can also use our manual pledge forms available on our website or in the event brochure to be circulated in spring. Fundraising is encouraged but not required to participate in this triathlon.
Lake Ottawa and Kettle Moraine State Forest Park -Southern Unit is conveniently located just 10 - 15 minutes south of Oconomowoc off Hwy 67. Convenient to Madison, Milwaukee, Whitewater, Waukesha, and Lake Country.
The swim will be held in spring-fed Ottawa Lake, well-known for summer activities and its nice beach. The Sprint distance swim will be a rectangle course with shorter course for ½ Sprint distance participants. The Olympic Distance will be two loops of the rectangle course. Race will start in waves. SWIM CAPS ARE MANDATORY.
Lifeguards and boats will be in the water for safety . Swim buddies can be requested pre-race (A swim buddy is an experienced open water swimmer that will swim along side you for support). Wetsuit use will be governed by USAT rules, and is based on water temperatures taken on race morning. In the event water temperatures are too warm to officially allow wetsuit use, those still wishing to wear a wetsuit will start in separate waves with non-official times.
The bike course takes you west of the park and will be a fast, flat course for all distances. The Olympic distance course will be two loops.
The run will be a flat course, with a combination of paved roads, grass trail and paved trail through the park and on country roads.
The bike racks and transition area will be in a fenced off parking area for safety and security. Each participant will have a rack space and spot specifically for their gear designated by gender and age group. Racking will be done by gender, race distance and age group.
Volunteers will be on hand for assistance if necessary. One adult will be allowed in a separated transition area for participants requiring special assistance. No spectators or pets are allowed in transition. We ask in general that pets be left home for the safety and cleanliness of the triathlon area for all.
Participants will be photographed at various times during their race to capture lasting moments. These photos will be available right on-location after you finish the race, and for purchase online post race. (You will receive an email or check our website.) These photos may be used in future advertising or published without your consent.
All parking is steps away from activities. Note, WI state parks daily parking fee is $7.00 per car unless you hold an annual pass. This fee IS included in registration. If your family is participating in both the Kids race and Adult race, two days of parking are required by Park rules. Any parking passes that are not needed will result in an additional donation to Children's Hospitals.
From Madison, Take Hwy I94 east, exiting at Hwy 67, Oconomowoc. (Alternate is to take Hwy 18 east to Hwy 67). Go south approximately 10 miles, turning right (west) on ZZ. Park entrance on your right. Watch for signs directing you to the designated parking lot.

A location specific training program will be held at a various Fleet Feet, Trek Stores, UW Sports Medicine, Wheel and Sprocket and Triathlon World locations throughout the spring free to the public. Watch www.TriingforChildrens.com for details. Other training programs may be noted on our website.
Also, look to your area YMCA or health club for additional training programs. Through the input of many triathletes, we recommend selected books/DVDs that can be purchased through a link on our website which provide easy to follow programs and are effective in increasing skills in swimming, biking and running, whether you are a beginner or advancing triathlete.
Race limit is 1,000 athletes. Please register early as we expect full race capacity to be met for 2010 prior to race day.
Tri-ing for Children’s is a volunteer based charity whose primary mission is to support children’s hospitals and promote a healthy triathlete lifestyle for all ages. A minimum of 20% (and higher amounts based on registration levels) of your registration fee is paid automatically to Tri-ing for Children's charity to directly benefit Wisconsin’s children’s hospitals including UW Health American Family Children's Hospital and Children’s Hospital of WI. Individual pledges and donations can be directed by the triathletes to any children’s hospital and specific program throughout the country, bringing personal meaning for each participant. This event is under the operations and management rights of Race Day Events, LLC., based in Madison, WI. For our "Tri-ing for Smiles" fundraising proceeds and direct athletes donations, reductions are only made for the Active.com processing fee and no more than 15% for incentives rewards.
