Brief Description

Carrie Shoemaker graduated from Duke University with a B.S.E. in 2000. She was part of the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps at Duke and upon graduation, entered the U.S. Navy. In 2001, she was killed by a drunk driver. Duke NROTC hosts this 5K Race every year in her honor, and donates the proceeds to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

Additional Information

Prizes for the top three male finishers and female finishers.
