Brief Description

The 2012 SBSD Mud Run is the most challenging event of its kind! This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and involves numerous obstacles, low-crawls, mud-pits, hills, our infamous whoop-de-doos and incredibly thick MUD! It is set in a boot camp styled atmosphere where a combination of citizens, public safety members, companies, teams, colleges and military personnel compete together. Run as an individual or as part of a 5-person team. Be creative and outfit your teams to stand out.

LATE REGISTRATION

Late registration will be available on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the registration area and Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 6:00am - 8:30am. Fees: 5K - $60 per person, 1K - $15 per child.

ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY

Please be aware, there will be no mail-in registration for this event. Registration will be online only until late registration (walk-up).

EARLY PACKET PICKUP

Get your packets early. You can avoid the lines at registration and walk straight to the Start Line on race morning. Runner packet pickup will be available on Friday, May 18, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the registration area.

TEAM CAPTAINS OF 5 PERSON TEAMS

As a team captain it is your responsiblity to have EACH & EVERY team member sign the waiver. This waiver must be brought to registration for packet pick up. Packets will not be released unless all members have signed the waiver. In order to expedite package pickup and relieve congestion at the registration tables, we request that only team captains pickup packets.

HELPFUL INFORMATION

Arrive early! There will be traffic into the race! Drink plenty of water and don't forget the suncreen. Bring a change of clothes. Rinse-off stations will be available. There will not be a bag check, so be sure to leave your valuables at home. Also, be sure to run in your old shoes. There will be a station to donate your old, muddy shoes if you chose to do so.

Law Enforcement SWAT/SBSD Station Divisions

There will be a perpetual trophy for the categories of SWAT and SBSD Stations. The first place team of each of these categories will receive a perpetual trophy to keep at their station until the next year's run. Bring your team and bring your game; compete for ultimate bragging rights.

Additional Information

The purpose of the 2012 SBSD Mud Run is to bring together members of the community with Southern California public safety personnel for a fun day in the MUD and sun. Proceeds raised during the event go to local charities throughout the Inland Empire. The 2012 Mud Run will be divided into 2 types of runs; Competitive and Self-Challenging (Fun Run). If you plan to run competitively, the last day to register is April 19, 2012. The Competitve categories will begin their run at 9:00am and the Self-Challenge categories will begin at approximately 9:15am. THIS IS NOT THE EVENT TO MISS!! WE HOPE TO SEE YOU IN THE MUD!!!

Have you raced through fire, crawled under barbed wire, and sloshed through mud pits with your friends? What are you waiting for? It's probably the most fun you'll ever have at a race. Throw on a costume, grab a beer, and get downright dirty when you join the Mob.
