"You may still register for AVDA's Race for Hope to be held October 15th at 7:30 by going to Avenue Pilates at 2100 N. Federal Highway, Delray Beach, Fl 33483 before 7:00 p.m. on October 14th or on the day of the race beginning at 6:00 a.m. at Anchor Park."
AVDA will celebrate 25 years of service to the community and our mission to promote violence-free relationships and social change by offering alternative choices to end violence and domestic abuse. Proceeds from AVDA’s Race For Hope benefit our 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter and Casa Vegso transitional housing facility and our outreach, educational and prevention programs offered throughout Palm Beach County.
This fun-filled event is a great day for a family outing where all ages can participate in the 5K, Kids K, Fun Mile and our brand new 10K Run! We challenge local companies, schools and organizations to form teams and come out for a morning of fitness, food, entertainment and fabulous fun! To add to the excitement of the day, teams or individuals who raise the most funds are awarded prizes and the ever popular raffle prizes will also be returning!

Pre-Registration Begins at 6:30AM, 5K Run/Walk Starts 7:30AM, 10K Run Starts 7:30AM, Fun Mile Starts 7:30AM and the Kid's K 9:00AM
Take I-95 to the Atlantic Avenue East Exit; proceed east to Gleason Street. Anchor Park is 3 blocks south of Atlantic Avenue along A1A.
Metered parking is free at Anchor Park, designated lots on Gleason at Sandoway & Ingraham lots and on A1A.
Guranteed for the first 500 paid participants in the 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run and the Fun Mile.
Will be issued on race morning to all Runners and Walkers. Bibs must be picked up at least 20 -30 minutes prior to the start.
The 5K Run and 10K Run will use the AccuChip Disposable Tag. All participants will be issued a bib on race morning which should be picked up at least 20 – 30 minutes prior to the start. Failure to wear a bib during the event will disqualify the participants from being scored in the results. The 5K Walk, Fun Mile and Kid’s K are non-competitive and will not be timed or scored.
Wanna avoid the crowd? Stop by and pick-up your bib, d-tag and t-shirt on Friday, October 14, 2011 from Noon to 7:00pm at Avenue Pilates located at 2100 N. Federal Highway, Delray Beach, FL 33483.
Awards in the 5K Run and 10K Run will be given to the top 3 overall M/Fs, the top master M/F and to the top 3 M/Fs in the following age group categories: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
After the race, enjoy a terrific post race party with food and beverages, music, face painting, entertainment and raffle prices. After all...you've earned it by working up a sweat and making a difference in your community!!!
