General Registration - $25 until Jan 5;, $30 thereafter
City of Decatur teachers/students - $15 until Jan 5, $20 thereafter

Brief Description

A chilly run through the City of Decatur with Decatur Bulldog supporters and their four-legged friends. This race is a qualifying run/walk event in the City of Decatur's Grand Slam Fitness Challenge.

AGE GROUPS

11 & under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 & over 60

AWARDS

Overall M & F runners, Masters M & F runners & top three M & F finishers in each category. All participants will receive a 100% cotton long sleeved T-shirt (adult sizes only). T-shirts are only guaranteed to pre-registered participants. Dogs participating will receive a special prize.

PARKING

Parking available in the DHS upper parking lot off Howard Avenue.

COURSE

The run/walk will begin and end on North McDonough Street in front of Decatur High School and will run through City of Decatur residential areas. The course is well marked & supervised by volunteers & the City of Decatur Police Department. Water stations will be positioned along the course & splits will be given at mile points. Refreshments available at the finish.

Additional Information

The 5K run/walk begins at 9:00 am, rain or shine. Race day registration will take place in front of Decatur High School beginning at 8:00 am.
Decatur High School, Renfroe Middle School, Glennwood Academy & City of Decatur elementary students, parents, alumni, friends, neighbors and runners and walkers of all levels are invited to participate. Participants are invited to run or walk with their dogs in a special group.
All proceeds will be used by the Decatur Bulldog Boosters to help fund the sports programs at Decatur High School & Renfroe Middle School.
