The Track Team is working to get some Racing Flats & Spikes for the Track Season. Come out and support these young athletes. Great shirt, and fun closed course.
Sunday 1:00 pm...Packet Pickup; 2:00 pm...5K Starts; 3:00 pm...1 Miler Starts
All proceeds go to the Dawson County Recreation Track team to purchase track shoes for the 2013 participants.
5K will be run on the track and paved trails of Veterans Park. The 1 Miler will be run on the Track. 4 Laps, just like the kids will do at meets. Both races will be timed.
All participants registered by Feb. 28 are guaranteed a race shirt in their size. All registrations after that will receive a shirt while supplies last.
Awards for the 5K (1st - 3rd) will be given as follows: 6 & 7 years, 8 & 9 years, 10 & 11 years, 12 - 14 years, 5 year age groups from there to 65+. As well as to the Overall Man & Overall Women.
Awards for the 1 Miler (1st place only) will be given out as follows: 6 & 7 years, 8 & 9 years, 10 & 11 years, 12 - 14 years, 15 - 19 years, 20+ years
Late & Day of registrations are welcome. Day of registrations will be $5 additional.
The 5K will be a qualifier for the Five Star Championship race held in December. The number of qualifying slots depends on the number of participants. See race website for details.
All participants registered for the 5K or Fun Run will qualify for FREE entry into the Five Star Turkey Trot held on Thanksgiving Day. See race website for details.
