About Run For Your Lives

Our health as individuals is inextricably tied to the health of our environment. To educate the public about the importance of heart health to our body’s well being and the importance of trees to the wellbeing of our environment, the University of California, Davis presents Run for Your Lives—a 5K and 10K run/walk to benefit your health and the environment.

How To Register

Register via any of the following ways:
• Online through midnight on October 9
• Via US Mail (Postmarked by October 6)
• In Person (by October 8; see below)
• Race Day (7:00 - 8:00 am near start line)

In-Person Registration

You may register in-person at either of the following locations through October 8th:


University of California, Davis Buildings & Grounds Office.
M-F 7 AM - 11 AM and 12:30 PM-4 PM

Race Day Schedule

7-7:50 AM—Late Registration & Bib # Pick Up
8:00 AM—5K & 10K Start
8:30 AM—Music and Refreshments
10:00 AM—Kids Fun Runs Start
10:30 AM—Awards Ceremony
12 PM-4PM—Celebrate UC Davis

Parking & Directions

From I-80
• Take 113 N in Davis
• Exit Russell Blvd. & Turn Right
• Go past LaRue Rd. & Turn Right onto Howard Way
• Turn Left into the Parking Structure
• Walk to Toomey Field, just east of the parking structure

From Hwy. 113 Southbound(Woodland)
• Same as above, but turn left onto Russell Blvd. after exiting Highway 113 South.

Awards & Timing

All participants in the 5K & 10K will be timed. Awards will be presented to the fastest three male and female finishers for the 5K & 10K in each age division: 11 and under, 12-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and over, and wheelchair. The kids fun runs are not timed.

To volunteer for the race and finish line activities, please send an e-mail with your contact information to runforyourlives@ucdavis.edu. All volunteers receive a race day t-shirt.
