Brief Description

Awards for runners will be based on overall finish time and age groups.

Awards will go to the top three overall male and female runners and the first place male and female in each age group.

You will get a cool T-Shirt for your participation too!

Bib number & T-Shirt pickup

All participants will receive a WINDPOWER Scholarship 5K Race T-shirt. We recommend that you pick-up your shirt on Monday to guarantee preferred size selection. Onsite registration, bib number and T-shirt pickup will be on Monday, May 24 and Tuesday, May 25, between the hours of 10:00 am – 6:00 pm at the Dallas Convention Center near registration in the foyer of Hall D.

Special Tee Shirt sizing

This year we are offering, in addition to the unisex micro fiber tee shirt, a women's fitted tee shirt. The shirt is shorter in the front, a little longer in the back. The Sedona, is a very popular micro fiber shirt. When ordering your shirt size, we suggest you order one size larger than you normally wear, unless you prefer wearing a closer fitted shirt.

Onsite registration

If you have colleagues or friends who might like to participate, but aren’t yet registered, encourage them to pack their running shoes so that they are able to register on-site at the Dallas Convention Center. A limited number of spots are available so please also encourage them to register soon.

Limited 5K Shuttle Service to Katy Trail Overlook

Pickups at 5:30 am at the following hotels: - Adolphus - Hyatt - Sheraton - Hilton Anatole - Embassy Suites Market Center - Radisson Love Field - Doubletree Campbell Center Returns to the same hotels departing at the conclusion of the 5K around 7:15 am.

Hit the Katy Trail at 6:30AM

Join us for some early morning exercise on the historic Katy Trail. What better way to kick-start your final day at WINDPOWER and do some good raising money for the AWEA Educational Scholarship Program at the same time. The funds raised from the 5K race go into the AWEA Scholarship Program which aims to provide educational scholarships for those interested in enhancing their knowledge of the wind industry. Please join us for this fun run!
