Brief Description

The Run for Human Rights is taking place this spring to raise funds and awareness for Human Rights Initiative of North Texas.

HRI assists victims of human rights abuses seeking asylum in the United States, as well as victims of human trafficking, spousal or child abuse at the hands of a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, immigrant children who often flee from violence and travel to the US, or immigrant children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected by their parents in the US.

Additional Information

This race will take place on a Certified course and has been sanctioned by USATF.

The race will be chip timed by Race Chip Timing (http://racechiptiming.com/)
Schedule: 7:30 am - Registration Begins
8:30 am - 5k Run/Walk
10:00 am - Awards

Awards will be given to the following divisions:
- First overall male & female runner
- Top male & female runners in each age division: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65+
