Brief Description

Great 5K event on a mostly flat course...we're hoping for snow; so get registered, cross your fingers, say a prayer, and come on out for a SNOWTASTIC time! This is the PERFECT event for families, students, and anyone else just looking to have a GREAT time!

Event Beneficiary

Proceeds from the race go to Flood Student Missions and their vision of developing Servant Leaders among middle and high school students. Flood is a student led ministry where student leaders engage over 1,000 students from over 20 different schools each year to serve in their communities. All monies raised goes to support the ministry and all the local mission work students do each week in their schools and communities.

Bring on the Rain day of service

Flood’s 6th annual BRING ON THE RAIN day of service will be held the following Monday and is the biggest day of serving students take part in each year. Students will spend Monday, January 21st serving flood’s many community partners across downtown, North Fulton, and Forsyth County. 7:00 am: Check in & Late Registration. 8:30 am: 5K Race Starts. 9:30 am: Fun Run Starts

Awards & Goodies

Great custom awards to the Overall male & female winners, as well as the top 3 in each 5 year age group starting at 10 & under and going through 65+. All participants registered by 1/13 are guaranteed a long sleeve shirt in their size. Anyone registering after 1/13 will receive a shirt on a 1st come, 1st serve basis.

Fun Run

We've just added a FUN RUN. If 3 miles is a little long for you, grab a few friends and run the 1 mile Fun Run. Participants registered by 1/13 are guaranteed the same shirt as the 5K, and the 1st 3 to cross the finish line win a medal.

Finish Line Festival

Imagine a ton of motivated students waiting for you to get back from your race, and that's the picture for the finish line. Plenty of refreshments, music, & vendors...and if we're lucky, an opportunity to have a snowball fight.

Family Discounts

1st & 2nd Family members regular entry fee, 3rd family member and more are $20 each.

Turkey Trot Qualifier

This will be one of the 1st races of 2013 for participants to qualify to participate in the Five Star Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day for FREE.

Five Star 5K championship qualifier

This will be on of the 1st races of 2013 to qualify for the Five Star 5K Championships held the 2nd weekend in December. The number of slots available will be based on the total number of race participants. Overall winners if 100 or less. All 1st place winners if 101-200 participants. All 2nd place and higher if 201-300. All 3rd place and higher if 301+ total runners.
