Brief Description

Come join us for the first annual Parkinson's Half Marathon & 5K in Cottage Grove this spring. This event promises to be an exceptional racing experience and fundraiser. The races will be an out and back format on the scenic Glacial Drumlin State Trail between Cottage Grove and Deerfield. The trail is very flat and consists of smoothly compacted gravel.

Chip Timing: Both the half marathon and 5K will be chip timed by Race Day Events, LLC. Half Marathon: Starts at 8:00 am, $35 ($45 race day) The Half Marathon is an out and back route that will be on the Glacial Drumlin Trail between Cottage Grove and Deerfield. The trail is very flat and consists of smoothly compacted gravel. There will be two aid stations stocked with water and Gatorade and a porta-potty. Runners will hit the aid stations a total of 4 times. There will also be a bag drop that will be located close to the turn around point (about half way). Clothes should be dropped off by registration at 7:30 am and will be returned to the finish area at the conclusion of the race (about noon). All Half marathon participants will receive a finisher medal. 5K: Starts at 8:30 am, $25 ($35 race day) The 5K is an out and back route that will be on the Glacial Drumlin Trail in Cottage Grove, same as the half marathon with an earlier turnaround. The trail is very flat and consists of compacted gravel that is very smooth. There will be one aid station stocked with water and Gatorade. Runners will hit this aid station twice on the route. Awards: All Half Marathon finishers will receive a finisher medal. Awards will consist of Top 3, 19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-70, 70+ (top 3 will be excluded from age group awards). American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA): All donations and proceeds will go to fund programs for the Wisconsin Chapter of the APDA.
