Pre Race Expo

The mandatory half marathon expo/packet pick up is at Road Runner Sports in Kearny Mesa on Saturday, November 13th from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. All participants must attend and pick up their own race materials. We do not allow friends or family members to pick up bibs for athletes. ID's are mandatory at the expo.

Partipants who do not choose the mail bib number option must attend the check-in to pick up their race materials and t-shirt.

Bib Mail Back

For an additional fee of $15 select "Bib Mail Back" when registering. You will receive your bib number in the mail at least5 days prior to the race. You are not required to attend the packet pick up/expo. The dead line to choose this option is October 26, 2010. Your t-shirt will not be mailed out to you, it will be available at the finish line.

BUS SHUTTLES

Half Marathon Only
Option 1 Drive your car to Silver Strand State Beach before the start. Take the FREE bus shuttle back to Silver Strand Beach after the race.

Option 2 You will have someone drop you off at the start and pick you up at the finish

Option 3 Park your car near Imperial Beach Pier ( very limited parking). The first 200 participants ONLY may take the free bus shuttle to the start at 5:45 a.m. sharp. There will be no service after this time.

Gear Check

We do provide GEAR CHECK for Half Marathon participants. The gear check will be open from 6-7:15 AM on race morning in Sunset Park. GEAR CHECK is not provided for 5K participants.

5K Race

5K Race Details
Last years 5k SOLD OUT at over 1,000 runners and walkers. The 5k will continue to be part of this years exciting weekend.
The race starts and finishes at Imperial Beach Pier Park. It is a flat and fast out and back course. The race starts at 7:00 a.m.

Refund & Transfer Policy

Partial refunds and transfers are available. Cancel by August 6th and receive a refund, minus a $10 cancellation fee. Cancel after August 7th and receive a refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee. Once the race sells out, refunds will not be offered. You may transfer your entry to the 2011 event or to another person until November 1st.

Transfer Information

To transfer your entry to the 2011 event or to another person, you must download a SSHM Transfer Form. Transfer form must be received or postmarked by the November 1st deadline. There is $15 transfer fee for all transfers.
