Description
Tap 'N' Run combines a ridiculous running race - a 4k with 4 beer chug stations* along the race course, a full beer at the Finish Line, crazy costumes, great times with friends, and unbelievable athleticism. JAM Active, along with Brothers Bar & Grill, Gas Werks, Bar Louie, Park Steet Patio, Park Street Tavern, Park Street Cantina and the Columbus Running Company have teamed up to create this awesome day of racing and community enjoyment! (*chug stations = 3-4 oz. of beer per)
In addition to being a part of an awesome and unique racing experience, all participants will receive a sweet Finisher's medal (that doubles as a bottle opener...no, really), the equivalent of over two beers and a Tap 'N' Run t-shirt to commemorate your amazing accomplishment. We also professionally time the race so you and your friends can laugh about how long it took to finish a mere 4k while sipping some suds!
Age & ID Guidelines
Tap 'N' Run is all about ridiculousness and fun with your friends, frienimies, family and randoms. You MUST be 21 years of age by race day to participate and all beer chugging is 100% optional (water will be available at all beverage stops). All participants MUST have valid IDs available upon check-in which will be reviewed by law enforcement agenies. No valid ID = no race.
Racing as an Individual
Like any race out there, you can race as an individual in the Tap 'N' Run 4k. Awards will be given out for the top 3 finishers in various age divisions, which include 'Never Been Tapped' (ages 21-25), Quarter Life Crisis (26-35), 'Cougars & Creepers' (36-45), Sports Cars & Botox (46-55) and Viagra & Hot Flashes (56+) divisions.
Racing as a Team
Teams of 2 to infinity can race in Tap 'N' Run. The top 3 team finishes in each division - Pints (2-4 members), Tall Boys (5-7), and Growlers (8+) - will receive team awards. Team times are based on the average between all team members. All team members are also eligible for individual finisher awards and all costume/extracurricular awards.
Costume/Extracurricular Awards
Sure, a few of you are going to be lame-o and see how fast you can finish Tap 'N' Run. A far greater number of you will enjoy the camaraderie, hilarity and spectacle of all the entertaining costumes and ridiculousness at Tap 'N' Run. In honor of not-taking-this-race-too-seriously, JAM Active will be awarding winners in the following divisions: Best Stache (Real & Fake), Hot Mess, We Wear Short Shorts, Put Your Shirt Back On, I Just Came to Drink, Walk of Shame and T-Shirt Time! Awards will also be given out for the Most Original Team Name, Most Original Team Concept and the Best Belcher!
After Party
Immediately following the Tap 'N' Run 4k, JAM Active will announce award winners at Park Street Patio. Afterwards, all participants are encouraged to stick around and enjoy live music and good times!

Registration
On-line registration will close at 11:59pm on Thursday, August 23rd. You may register after that date at the Packet Pick-up location until 4pm on Saturday, August 25th. Packet Pick-up will be at Brother's Bar & Grill from 11a-7p on Friday, August 24th and 10a-4p on Saturday, August 25th.
