Brief Description

The race involves rolling beds down village streets in Coconut Grove with our local community, individuals, businesses, organizations, and clubs sponsoring the beds, and thousands of spectators cheering them on.

Registration Information

A maximum of 50 beds will be allowed entry and priority will be given to returning teams and captains who register during the early bird registration only. If you have any questions, send us an email or tweet us.

Divisions - New for 2010!

This year's Great Grove Bed Race features divisions. Team captains: please read carefully to be sure you select the correct division for your team.

DIVISION M - Men’s Division

To qualify, the team of 5 must be made up of all males, including rider on bed.

DIVISION W - Women’s Division

To qualify, the team of 5 must be made up of all females, including rider on bed. (This division requires a four team minimum registration to operate and race committee will notify teams if the minimum is not met.)

DIVISION E - Co-Ed Division

To qualify, the team of 5 must be made up of at least two females with one required as a runner/pusher.

DIVISION C - Corporate Challenge Division

To qualify, the team comes from a corporation or a division within a corporation and will compete against other corporate challengers with an age requirement of 30 years old or above by date of Captains Meeting, September 2, 2010. There are no male or female requirements.

Additional Information

Teams consist of 5 members, four (4) race and one (1) rides. They'll race against the clock until the fastest eight (8) beds are determined and go head-to-head for the top position. Prizes are awarded for theme, décor, and racing success.
