Brief Description

'Tis the Season to celebrate the spirit of Christmas. Join us on this Run for God 5k Run or 2 Mile Fun Walk. Proceeds benefit Teen Challenge the Splash Pad Playground effort. Event Parking located in the grassy area near the starting line off Riverside Drive or under the 25W bridge. Overflow parking off Charles G. Seviers Blvd. NO roller blades, heelys, bicycles, animals on the course; strollers welcomed. No refunds or transfers. Only paid participants allowed on course.

USATF Certification #TN12104MS. Course is mostly flat and starts by the parking area at Riverside Drive and continues through the lakefront neighborhood onto Riverbend Road, then makes a right onto Redbud Drive, followed by another right at Dogwood Lane. Course loops back out onto Riverbend Road and continues on Riverside Drive past the bridge to the finish line. The 2 mile walk takes the same route up Riverside Drive and will turn around shortly after the water stop. After 12/3 shirt not guaranteed on race day, but will have at a later date. The 5k run is timed with a shoe timing tag. Awards ceremony for 5k to follow after the run. Awards will be given to: male & female overall; male & female masters (40+); male & female 3 deep in the following age divisions: 9 and under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; and over 70. Team awards to the top two teams (run or walk) with the highest number of participation (min 5 per team).
