Brief Description

Setting the Pace at Whitten Center is a 10K and 5K Run/Walk to benefit people with developmental disabilities living at Whitten Center in Clinton, SC. The course will be on paved roads inside our 1700 acre facility. The scenic 10K route will take runners through old pastures and lovely woods before passing through a once fully operational farm and turning aroound at the picnic shelter at Lawson Lake. The 5K route will remain in the heart of the sprawling residential facility.

Additional Information

The 10K course has 386 ft. of climbing with 778 ft. total elevation change. There are two fairly steep hills. The 5K course has 130 ft. of climbing with 266 ft. of elevation change. There are no steep hills on the 5K. Trophies or medals will be awarded in multiple age divisions based upon the number of participants. There will be a festival following the race.
