Event and Location

Eco Agro Trails proudly announces its inaugural 1 Mile Eco Agro Guided Farm Tour, Trail Run 5k, and Trail Run Half Marathon to be hosted at Crones' Cradle Conserve. Crones' Cradle Conserve is an ecological preserve, retreat center, and organic farm. All proceeds from the race will benefit a local water conservation effort in Marion County and surrounding areas. Environmental, agricultural, and wellness information booths and vendors will be set up near event main stage.

The Trails

The running and walking trails vary in their technical nature and level of difficulty. The trails lead the runners through a variety of native ecosystems, including wetlands and mature hardwood forests. The running courses predominantly feature a mix between single track trails and fire roads, and runners of the half-marathon are expected to cross at least one creek. With every step along the trail, participants are advised to expect and to respect the possibility of encountering wild animals.

Accomodations

Participants interested in tent camping (with shower and bath access) the Friday night before the race (4/5/2013) can contact Eco Agro Trails at ecoagrotrails@gmail.com. Dinner Friday night can be arranged (prepared with local organic produce). Reservations are necessary to camp and must be made before 3/31/2013.

Discounts

Children (12 and under), Students (with valid ID), and Senior Citizens can apply a $10 discount at the end of registration.
