Help the Friends of the Park

The Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park was established in 1896 as the first national military park to commemorate the events and sacrifices of one of the bloodiest and most strategic battles of the Civil War. Please help us to preserve the heritage of the Park by supporting the Friends of the Park with an additional donation to this not-for-profit organization. Proceeds from The Chickamauga Chase will benefit the Friends of the Park.

5K

The 5K is a very popular fast and mostly flat course. The race has a simultaneous start with the 15K, both races staying together for approximately 1.5 miles where the 5K turns off to the right then doubles back on about a mile of the first part of the course.

Scenic Walk

The Scenic Walk (approximately 2.4 miles) is non-competitive. Strollers and baby joggers are encouraged in this event. The baby/child in the stroller must be registered to participate, however the fee is only $5 which does include a wee-ones t-shirt.

The Kiddie K, approximately 1 kilometer (.6 mile), is a non-competitive run/walk for children age 9 and under only.
