Get Stompin’ with a $8,000 prize purse.
This out and back race is a USATF certified and sanctioned
course with a flat, straight and fast design. The event is
limited to 2,500 runners and applications will be accepted
on a first-come/first-served basis. All runners must be
able to complete the course in 3 1/2 hours or less.
Age Group Categories & Awards
Awards for the half marathon will be given to: the top five overall male and
female; the top three overall masters male and female; the top three local male and female; the
back of the pack male and female; and the top three
overall male and female runners in each age group:
12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 and over.
Each registered participant will receive a
Finisher’s Medal when they cross the finish line.
All children's half mile finishers (12 and under) will receive a finisher medal.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup, registration and Chronotrack D-Tag disbursement for the half marathon and children's fun run will be at the Race Expo, April 17, 2009 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center 736 Battlefield Blvd North Chesapeake, VA 23320. There will be no packet pickup on race day.

From Richmond: Follow I-64 east toward Norfolk/
Chesapeake. Take Exit 291b for Route 17 S. Follow Route
17 S beyond intersection with Route 165. Turn right onto
Route 17 BUS-George Washington Hwy. Follow Route 17
BUS about 1/2 mile to trail entrance on left.
From Norfolk/Virginia Beach: Follow 1-64 toward Suffolk.
Take Exit 291b for Route 17 S. Follow Route 17 S beyond
intersection with Route 165. Turn right onto Route 17 BUS George
Washington Hwy. Follow Route 17 BUS about
1/2 mile to trail entrance on left.
