Brief Description

Since 1979, The Karen Lawrence Run has been held in the same location @ The Sports Barn in downtown Chattanooga. With all proceeds going to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, participants, sponsors and private donors, have given the hospital nearly $4 Million over the past 33 years. New Year's Eve 2012 will mark the 34th year for this event, making it the oldest and longest running charity event for St. Jude. Please join us this December 31st and be a part of this year's celebration.

Additional Information

The 4.2 Mile main event and 2.1 Mile fun run/walk will start on Broad St. behind the downtown Sports Barn, turn up 3rd St. and cross the Walnut St. bridge. Turning right onto Frazier Ave., it will then enter Coolidge park on Tremont St., make quick loop (around the big purple rhino), then return to downtown along the same path. Terrain is moderate to hilly providing all participants with the most scenic route in the history of this race. There really is no way better way to end 2012 and prepare for a wonderful 2013, than to participate in an event such as this, benefiting a hospital that has dedicated so many years to treating children afflicted with childhood cancer. Do your heart some good, both physically and spiritually. And bring along your family and friends to share in the experience. We look forward to seeing you there!
