Brief Description

Whether you are an aspiring 5k runner, a cross country veteran or an elite racer looking for a great way to boost your performance, the 2011 Trail Run Challenge, presented by Jesse Brown's Outdoors at the US National Whitewater Center provides something for you. Distances of 5k and 10k provide runners the opportunity to challenge themselves in races within one of the region's most unique outdoor environments. Come join us on August, 20th and bring a friend!

Race Day registration and chip pick up begins at 7:00AM at the U.S. National Whitewater Center.

Packet Pick-Up:

If you register online, by mail or in person before Wednesday, August 17, you may pick up your race number and t-shirt one of two ways:

· At Run For Your Life, Dilworth (2422 Park Rd) Thursday, August 18 – Friday, August 19.
· On race day beginning at 7:00AM

If you did not register before Wednesday, August 17, you may do so and pick up your race number and t-shirt at the following Run For Your Life locations:

Dilworth, Thursday – Friday 10AM - 7 PM

Piper Glen, Thursday – Thursday 10AM - 7PM; Friday until 12 Noon

University, Thursday 10:30AM – 7:30PM; Friday until 12 Noon

Race Day beginning at 7:00AM

You can also continue to register online Wednesday, August 17 & Thursday, August 18, but please allow at least 24 hours before you come in to pick up your race number and t-shirt. If you do not bring in your confirmation for your online registration, packet will not be guaranteed.

T-shirts are only guaranteed to runners that register before Wednesday, August 17. Anyone who registers after Wednesday, August 17 will receive a t-shirt only while supplies last.

Awards will be given for the 5K and 10k races as follows:
- Top 3 overall male and female finishers.
- Top 3 male and female in each age group: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,55-59,60-64, 65+.

Team awards will be given for the 5k and 10k races as follows:
- 1st Place Male Open
- 1st Place Female Open
- 1st Place Mixed Team
Only the top 3 finishers on each team will be scored. Team Captains MUST submit all team registration information and entry forms by Thursday, August 18 in order to qualify for awards. Only team members who have registered and paid entry fees by this date will be officially included on team rosters.

Runners with strollers are not permitted in the event due to terrain. No exceptions.

This event will take place in rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather and the trails are deemed not safe by the US National Whitewater Center staff, a rain date will be established. This rain date will be announced and participants will be notified via email after the event date.

Parking at the USNWC is $5. You will be required to pay a $5 parking fee unless you have an annual parking pass. Annual parking passes are available at the Whitewater Center for $40.
