Brief Description

Race-day registration is from 7:45 a.m. until 8:45 a.m. at Old Main. An entry fee of $10 will be collected from each participant, while awards are designated for the top male and female finisher in each of three categories: run, walk, and wheelchair. In addition, McDonalds will provide a gift pack, food, and drinks to all racers. Prizes are also planned for the best full-body costume worn by a participant.

Additional Information

For a dozen years now, it has been an Eastern Illinois University tradition to stage a 2.5K race for runners and walkers wishing to show off the overall athleticism of the EIU community. This 1.5-mile road race, sponsored by the Department of Recreation Administration, begins at 9 a.m. Participants begin at the corner of Seventh Street and Lincoln Avenue, making their way north on Seventh Street to the Charleston Square, then returning to Old Main via Sixth Street.
