Brief Description

The Kidney Kare 5k Run/Walk and the Kids Kare 1/2 Mile promote awareness for kidney disease and the need for kidney transplant.

Proceeds from this event will support the Kidney Education Outreach Program (a statewide awareness & kidney screening program), the Patient Emergent Fund and the Transplant Awareness Fund.

Early Packet Pick Up

Early packet pick up is available for runners and walkers at Fleet Feet Carrboro from 12:00-7:00PM on Friday, March 19.

Participants may drop off registration forms and charitable donations and pick up t-shirts and race packets at this time.

Sleep in later and avoid the morning race day registration rush.

Course

The Kidney Kare 5k Run/Walk will wind it's way through the streets of Carrboro. Course is flat to rolling.

Kids Kare will start on the track. The entire course is contained within the school grounds.

Timing

Participants registered in the 5k Run will be timed. Walkers should sign up for the 5k run if they would like to be timed.

If you do not wish to be timed, sign up for the 5k Walk.

Kids Kare is not a timed event.

Kids Kare participants will receive short sleeve t-shirts with Kids Kare logo. Guaranteed thru March 10.

We will make every effort to provide t-shirts for registrants after March 10.
