The first wave will start at 10 AM. We will have a wave of no more than 50 people every 6 minutes. The waves are open to everyone. The 11 AM will be the last wave and has 100 maximum participants. Each runner will be given a flag belt with two flags. The zombies will attempt to collect as many flags from runners as possible.
Please keep in mind that this run is at altitude! Prepare your lungs!
The first 200 people who register will be receive a free t-shirt and can be picked up AT the event! We will also have a small amount of t-shirts for sale at the event (cash or check only).
Prizes will be awarded for: Fastest male/female runner with both flags, best dressed zombie creeper, best dressed zombie chaser, creeper zombie with the most flags, chaser zombie with the most flags, best dressed male/female runner AND at the children's run: Fastest male & female and best dressed zombie and best dressed runner!
Spectators are allowed at the event however if you are not a registered participant, you can not be on the course! We do not need any more zombie bait! We will have a small seating area for all of those who want to support their friends and family near the start/finish of the run but please bring chairs just in case seating is taken.
Also, we will have a FREE 12 & Under Children's Run. This will be approximately 1K. If your children wish to participate, make sure they are mentally ready. Zombies will not be "chasing" them however they will be "milling" about the course. There is no need to register for this race, it will be open to all who want to participate AFTER the last wave of the 5K race finishes (approximately between 12:45 - 1 PM).
Online registration will close September 6th however we will be able to do registrations the day of the event from 8:30 - 9:30 AT the Trail Center Lodge. CASH OR CHECK ONLY! No credit cards will be accepted.
If you would like to volunteer as a zombie on the course, please email us at email@example.com with "Volunteer" in the subject line. There is no fee to be a zombie.
ATTENTION ALL RUNNERS - please check in 30 - 45 minutes prior to your wave to familiarize yourself with the rules that will be posted at the race location and to pick up your race packet. If you signed up (or will sign up) at Party America, you will also be required to sign a waiver at packet pickup.

Friday the 7th at 2 PM: Meet at the Nordic Trail Center to set up for race day!
Saturday the 8th (Day of Race):
6 AM: Ron opens Trail Center
7 AM: Lisa and Joe due at Trail Center
8 AM: All volunteers (zombie AND non-zombie) due (non-zombies must wear a RED shirt) and meet IN the Trail Center Lodge
8-8:30 AM: Zombies sign waivers & meeting about physical contact
8-8:30 AM: Course marshals go over duties
8:30-9:30 AM: Registration open (Cash & check only)
8:30-9:30 AM: Zombie & course marshal placement
10-11 AM: Waves every 6 minutes with Joe announcing
12:30 PM: Approximate time of last finisher of adult race due in
1-1:30 PM: Children's 1K run - Awards handed out directly after run
4 PM: Awards ceremony at Wonder Bar with Chad Lore playing at 6 PM in zombie get-up!
