Want to have a once-in-lifetime run? Well this is one course that you better run only once if you wish to have a long lifetime. Before the new Triangle Parkway opens, runners will be able to run where cars will be speeding along in few days.
The entry fee for the 5K is $25, increasing to $35 after June 20. The entry fee includes a cotton t-shirt, guaranteed to all registered by June 20. After that date, it will be as sizes are available.
Participants in the 5K can either register as a “competitive” or a “recreational” participant. The competitive runners will be issued chips, will receive official times, and be eligible for awards. The recreational runner/walker will not receive an official time but will be able to see his/her finishing time in a digital clock at the finish line.
Awards will be given to the first male overall, to the first female overall, and to the top finishers in the following age groups: (both sexes) 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-over
Profits from the event will be donated to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
