This is a new race for the Raleigh area which is put on by the ladies at Alpha Omega Epsilon at NCSU. The race will be held at the WakeMed Soccer Park beginning at 2 pm.
All proceeds will be given to Save A Life, Inc., a teen suicide prevention program.
Those entering the 5K have the option of registering as a competitive or recreational entrant. Competitive entrants are those who wish to receive an official finishing timeand to be eligible awards. Recreational entrants are those who do not care about receiving an official time or being eligible for awards However, all finishers can see their finish times on a digital clock at the finish line.
The entry fee is $20 until February 28th. After that date, the fee is $25, increasing to $30 on race day. A cotton tee is included with the entry fee. If one desires a tech shirt instead, that is an additional $5 and must be ordered by 2/28.
Awards will be given to the top three males overall, to the top three females overall and to the top three finishers in each of the following age groups: 10-under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, and 50-over.
Race packets can be picked up and late entrants can register on Friday, March 15th, from 11 am – 6 pm on the brickyard in front of D.H. Hill Library. Race packets can also be picked up and late entrants can also register at the race site on race day beginning at 1 pm.
