The race starts at 7:00 am. Beginners and walkers are welcome. Course will close at 11:00 am. notice CHANGE TO START TIME!!
The Marine Corps Half-marathon starts and finishes at Ruseell Marine and Family Service Center, Brewster Blvd, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
PACKET PICKUP:
Packet pick-up is Friday 24 September; 9 am to 2:00 pm at the French Creek Fitness Center, Gonzalez Blvd.
Race Day packet pick up is 5:30 am to 6:30 am at the race site.
Mail-in or drop off registraiton is available until noon , 23 September only. Mail registration forms to MCCS, Attn: LaToya Ellis, Area 2 fitness center, 1401 West Rd., Camp Lejeune, NC 28547 or drop off at the Area 2 Fitness Center. Late registration fees apply from 14 September until 23 September only. There is no race day registrtation LATE REGISTRATION FEE IS $35.00. RACE REGISTRATION FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
Due to security aboard Marine Corps base, you must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a vehicle registration when entering the base.
Individual awards given for Overall, Overall Masters and Age group 5 year cateogries , 1st 2nd and 3rd place. Team Awards for Male, female ,mixed, Masters and Husband/Wife teams. Team members are eligible for individual awards also.
If registering with a team, each team member submits an individual application , annotating the team name and category.
Directions: Enter the front gate, make a right at the first light on to Brewster Blvd. Parking will be on the left.
FINSIH/TIMING:
Timing is performed using the championchip system. ALL RUNNERS MUST CHECK IN ON RACE DAY FOR A CHAMPIONCHIP DEVICE. ALL CHIPS MUST BE RETURNED AT THE FINISH LINE.
RESULTS:
UNOFFICIAL RESULTS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE FINISH LINE ON THE DIGITAL DISPLAY CLOCK. RESULTS WILL BE POSTED AND THE AWARDS CEREMONY WILL TAKE PLACE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE LAST RUNNER IS FINISHED. FINAL RESULTS WILL BE POSTED ON THE WEBSITE.
