Brief Description

The Crab Run Half Marathon duplicates the run course of the EagleMan Race held in June each year in Cambridge. Many EagleMan participants run the Crab Run in preparation. 2012 marks the 4th year the Dorchester YMCA has sponsored the Crab Run.

Run Course

Half Marathon starts on Somerset Ave side of The Dorchester County YMCA, heading towards the Choptank River following the same route as the EagleMan Ironman 70.3 Triathlon run. The 13.1 mile out and back course is FLAT, FAST and FUN. 5k follows the same route, only shorter. NO headphones, rollerblades, strollers, bikes, pets, unregistered runners. Aid stations and bathrooms on course. Electronic timing with halfway split.

Custom Finishers Medal and long sleeve t-shirt and phenominal post race party in the YMCA gymnasium

Half Marathon Fees:

$35. prior to 1/1/2012, $50. prior to 2/1/2012, $55. prior to 3/1/2012 $60. prior to 4/1/2012, $65. from 4/1 to race day (April 11 online closes) Registration available Race day on site

Awards:

Half M & 5K - 1st M/F overall; 1st M/F Master (45+); Age groups, 5 year increments,1st - 3rd M/F; Relay Awards 1st M/M, F/F, M/F

Reason to Run:

The proceeds for the Crab Run will go towards Camp Seagull, the Dorchester Family YMCA summer program for developmentally disabled children.

Refunds or Transfers:

No Refunds or Transfers of registrations. Your unused registration payment is a tax deductible donation to the Dorchester County YMCA.

Friday- April 13, 5PM – 8PM, or Saturday-April 14, 6:30 AM – 7:45 AM, Dorchester CountyYMCA
