Brief Description

1st Annual Toy Town Toy Trot 5K starts at 10:00am Registered racers with T-shirts & Santa Hats—will start on Lake Street by the City Christmas Tree in the City Park, follow Lake Street to Pine Street, to just shy of Cheryl’s Landing and back to the City Park. Watering & Cookie stations. Individual Trophies – Top 3 over-all M/F. 5k Ribbons - Top 3. Team Trophies – Top 3 teams, (4+ people) based on money raised for Toys for Tots (must be registered by Nov 10 to qualify).

Difficulty - flat route along the Lake Cadillac shoreline. November 10, 2012—6pm, a Registration Party will be hosted by The Shay Station, so you can get together with other racers and chat about the contests and race, plus share a few memorable moments prior to the race. Pre-Registration packet pick-up & Late Registration Friday, November 23, Toy Town 12noon – 5pm, and Saturday, race day, in City Park 8:30am – 9:30am. Day of Race—November 24, 2012 8:30am—Race Day Registration Opens 9:30am—Registration Closes, All racers must be registered 9:45am—Race Introductions, National Anthem & Santa Kick-off 11:30am—Awards & Contests: City Park (in case of inclement weather, The Elks Club) Ugly Sweater Contest & Elfin Look Alike awards – Trophies awarded in: Best Individual, Best Group (4+ people) , Best Youth (14 and under). Awards based on audience applause so make sure you bring your friends and family! Ugly Sweaters can be donated to the Veteran’s Clinic in Ann Arbor at the event. 10:00am—5:00pm—Downtown hosts Storybook Christmas Open House with Small Business Saturday.
