Brief Description

The Jog for The Jake, a 5K road race and Kid's Fun Run, was established in 2002 in memory of Dr. Lawrence D. Jacobs, Buffalo's world-renowned Multiple Sclerosis (MS) physician and researcher. The purpose of the race is to celebrate Dr. Jacobs' life through a special, fitness-oriented event, designed for the whole family. Last year the race attracted over 1,000 runners and walkers for the 5K run and over 200 children for the Kid's Fun Run.

1,021 adults and more than 230 kids participated in our races last year – up 25+% from the previous year. We raised $113,000 for the Jacobs Neurological Institute, and over $800,000 since the race’s inception. Online reg. ends June 18, 2010 at 6pm EST.
