Brief Description

The Bucks 5K Series is a non-profit organization that facilitates and coordinates seven 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) road races, all USTAF certified. These races attract the fastest runners in the region, as well as entire families and rookies. Each of the races, all in the spring, take place on various scenic roads of central Bucks County and benefit local worthy causes. They feature a high quality timing chip for accurate scoring and post race festivities for all runners to enjoy.

THE COURSES

All of our beautiful courses have been officially certified by the USA Track and Field Association. The miles are accurately measured, clearly marked and include mile split times. Marshals ensure safety over the courses, with street closings where necessary. Water stations and emergency personnel are a regular part of the races. Age group course records are now posted for each race on www.bucks5kseries.com.

RACE RESULTS

The Series will be using the DISPOSABLE CHRONO D-TAG TIMING SYSTEM again this year. Professional finish line management provided by Baldasari and Leestma. Compuscore provides timing and computerized scoring. Awards ceremonies begin shortly after the finish of each race. Results are generally online that evening at both www.bucks5kseries.com and www.compuscore.com. After the first four races, Series standings will be on our website. Series Awards will be given following the Chalfont Challenge.

AWARDS

Each race gives 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in 5-year age groups. We also recognize overall male and female winners and the age-graded male and female master racers. Every race has a 1 Mile Fun Run with give aways for all finishers. Series winners receive a custom Bucks 5K tile.

FINISH LINE FUN

Enjoy great food, music, and the fellowship of the running community while the race results are tabulated. Our computerized scoring systems provide prompt and accurate results. Raffles and special events are planned for the various races. Visit the Bucks 5K Series website for more details.
