Brief Description

Both a competetive athletic event and a fun family affair, with cash prizes and costume contest.

Courses

The 5K loops through the old historic part of town past campus, and is mildly hilly. The finish is flat and fast. The 10K winds east and north of town, fairly hilly, with views of the mountains. The last mile is downhill on scenic Willson Street and loops back to the same flat fast finish as the 5K. The Children's 1K is right down Main Street, leading the Sweet Pea Parade. **Both the 5K and 10K course are certified.**

Packet Pickup

Packet pick up is at the 19th street First Security Bank on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday before the race from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Final packet pick up is race day from 6:00 AM to 6:45 AM.

Children's Run

Online registion is not available for the children's run. Children may be entered in person or by mail. Meet at 9:30 at 8th and Main for 10:00 race down Main Street. Parents may accompany their children at no cost. Pick up race numbers starting at 9:15 at 8th and Main on race day or at walk in registration at First Security Bank West at 670 S 19th St, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before race.

Safety

Wearing headphones is unsafe and will result in disqualification. Wear your bib number clearly on the front of whatever you will have on at the finish line. Follow arrows, cones, and course marshall directions. Have fun!

Costume Contest

Participants are encouraged to wear costumes. Bozeman Creek Family Health promotes both cardiovascular fitness and mental health for our community. Be imaginative and creative and run in costume! Prizes for individual and group categories will be awarded on the basis of creativity and originality. - Costumes must be family friendly. - Race numbers must be clearly visible on front. - Costumes must not obstruct participants’ vision. - Groups in costume must run together

Registration

Early Bird registration online $8 until June 21st. After online or mail-in $10 through Aug 5., $15 on Aug 7. T shirts are optional and $10. No race day registration.

Awards

The Road Runners Club of America has designated the 10k as the MT State Championship. Male & female winners will be named the MT State 10K Champions. Cash prizes will be awarded to overall winners and Masters winners in the 5k and 10k. Age group medals will be given as well as raffle prizes for registered runners.

Race Photos

Race photographs will be available from Mark at Highlander Photographics, a local company, within a few days of the race at www.highlanderphoto.com. Click on special events and put in the race code (coming soon).

Additional Information

NO race day registration, but walk in registration available Wednesday, Thursday, Friday of race week at 1st Security Bank on 19th in Bozeman.
