The Gift of Life program helps children with failing hearts who need cardiac surgery but do not have the resources to get it. The program has saved over 9,000 children from all over the world. Medical professionals donate their time and skills and participating hospitals and medical centers greatly reduce their costs, but money is still needed for medical supplies, recovery and travel. The objective of this race is to raise at least $5000 so that one more child in need can be saved.

This race kicks off the Bonita Springs Fourth of July parade. The race will start and end along the 4th of July parade route. There will be hundreds of fans in place to cheer you on. Be ready for a flat and fast scenic run through beautiful down town Bonita Springs. Refreshments will be served at the finish line. Top 3 finishers in each age group will receive medals. Top finishers may have the rare opportunity to display their hardware as winners on the Rotary 5K parade float.
