The Gift of Life program helps children with failing hearts who need cardiac surgery but do not have the resources to get it. The program has saved over 9,000 children from all over the world. Medical professionals donate their time and skills and participating hospitals and medical centers greatly reduce their costs, but money is still needed for medical supplies, recovery and travel. The objective of this race is to raise at least $5000 so that one more child in need can be saved.
Please note that there is a $3.25 processing fee in addition to the $20 registration fee.
This race kicks off Celebrate Bonita. Starting on the west side of the train tracks at Riverside Park under a beautiful shading of trees, this 5K course is flat and winds you through neighborhoods out to a cul-de-sac 1/2 way point and back to the finish. Refreshments will be served at the finish line. Top 3 finishers in each age group will receive medals.
