Run the May River in Bluffton, SC

Off to the Races

The races start at 7:30 a.m. and will take in the roads in the Town of Bluffton and Beaufort County. The 1/2 marathon offers great views of the lowcounrty and May River.

The Race Courses

All races begin at Oscar Frazier Park, 8th Ave., Bluffton, SC. The 1/2 marathon will wind out of Town, following the May River, encompassing Myrtle Island, Brighton Beach, and turning around on Pine Island. The 10K is an out & back to Myrtle Island. The 5K is an out and back down Alljoy. All courses take in the beauty of the SC Lowcountry!

1/2 Marathon Race Fees

1/2 Marathon Fees: $45.00 November 12- December 17; $55.00 December 18- January 1; $65.00 Jan 2, 2012 to race morning (paper application only on 1/04/12 & 1/05/12).

10K Fees

10K Fees: $35.00 Nov 12-Dec 17; $40.00 Dec 18- Jan 1, 2013; $45.00 Jan 2 - race morning (paper application only on 1/04 & 1/05/13).

5K Fees

5K Fees: $20.00 through Nov 11; $25.00 Nov 12-Dec 17; $30.00 Dec 18-Jan 1, 2013; $35 Jan 2- race morning (paper application only on 1/04 & 1/05/13).

Race Limits

The combined number of runners for the three races is 350 so register early.

Finishers Awards--1/2 Marathon

Finishers awards will be given to all completing the 1/2 marathon!

Overall and Age Group Awards

Awards will be given to the top 3 female and male runners, the top Masters (over 40 years old) male and female, the top Grandmasters (over 50 years old) male and female, and the top 3 females and males in each age group. Age groups begin at 14 and under, 15-19 and are 5 year increments thereafter. Overall awards in the 1/2 & 10K will be plaques/trophies. Al other awards will be medals. Awards will not be mailed!!

Race Shirts

Assume uni-sex sizing! Each person registered before December 22, 2012 will receive a race shirt. We do not guarantee sizes or availability of shirts for those registering after December 22 so please register early!!!

Packet Pick- Up & Race Day Registration

Pre-race packet pick up and late registration is race day only at the Oscar Frazier Park, 8th Ave., Bluffton, SC 29910 from 6:45 am until 7:15 am. Race day registration will be available from 6:45-7:15 a.m.

Accommodations

The Bluffton Comfort Suites is offering a special rate of $89.99, plus taxes, for the race. The Comfort Suites is located at 23 Towne Drive, Bluffton, SC 29910 and is approximately 2 miles from the race site. Please call the hotel direct at 843-815-1700 and identify yourself as being associated with a Multisport Fitness Event (rate code LMSPOR) in order to get the special $89.99 rate.

Race Proceeds

A portion of the race proceeds will go to support local charities. Thanks for your support!!

Volunteers

If you have family, friends...for that matter, people you just sorta know and sorta, maybe like...with you who would like to volunteer, please have them contact multisportfit@aol.com and we'll put them to work! Volunteers will receive a shirt and bountiful thanks!

Post Race Party and Awards Ceremony

We'll be holding a post race party with food, beverages, and more at the finish area following the races. The awards ceremonies will begin as soon as practical/possible following each race. We reserve the right to begin the awards ceremonies before each race is completed. Don't miss the post race festivities!!

Visit Bluffton

Be sure to hang around Bluffton after the races. Visit the shops and restaurants and take in the atmosphere...You'll see why Bluffton is truly a great state of mind!

No Refunds

Sorry but there will be no refunds. Transfer to a different Multisport Fitness event may be possible but the same will be determined on a case by case basis.
