    • Age Requirements

    Sprint, Long, and Parent Assist Triathlons, ages 5-15

    Age Groups and Distances

    Sprint: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12
    Long: 9-10, 11-12, 13-15
    Parent Assist: any age plus a parent
    Jr Sprint (5-12 years old): 50 yd swim, 2 mile bike, ½ mile run
    Jr. Long (9-15 years old): 250 yd swim, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run

    Registration Cap

    We will cap the race at the first 150 triathlon entrants, plus 50 fun runners, and it has always sold out, so register early!

    Awards

    Everyone will receive a finisher’s medal, t-shirt, waterbottle, and goodies. Trophies will be awarded to the top three individuals in each age group.
    The Fun Run will not be scored, but all finishers will receive medals, goodie bags, shirts, treats, etc..

    Event Host

    This event is co-hosted by Team LVC, the Blue Diamond Mustangs, and the Mountain’s Edge Team. Proceeds will go to the Blue Diamond Charitable Association to benefit the community park, pool, and swim team.

    Race into summer on the first day of summer break with this exciting celebration of youth fitness and energy! The fourth annual Diamond Kid junior triathlon starts by swimming in the private Blue Diamond community pool and biking the quiet streets of the village. It ends with a run course that loops around the shady community park to a festive finish at the awards celebration area. There is a long course and short course option, as well as a parent assist race and a fun run. The Fun Run goes along the same run course as the triathlon, and starts when the triathlon swimmers start. The Fun Run is for ages 8 and under and the Triathlons are for ages 5-15. Parent assistance is only allowed on the Fun Run and Parent-Assist Triathlon. Just 15 minutes from Las Vegas, the small town of Blue Diamond, Nevada, is located in the beautiful (and slightly cooler) Red Rock Canyon. Bring your family to watch the event and stay for the awards celebration. We'll have free food for the athletes and refreshments available for purchase for everyone else.
