About CPNJ and Horizon High School

CPNJ is an organization that provides specialized programs to meet a wide range of educational, therapeutic and social needs of people with various disabilities. We are a nonprofit organization. Horizon High School is a private school serving students ages 13-21 with multiple disabilities. We work to increase life skills and enhance a child’s ability to gain as much independence as possible. Therapy services are incorporated into the classroom setting providing for an integrated curriculum.

Fees

Adult 5K Run/Walk: $25; USATF-NJ Members: $23; Under 15 5K Run/Walk: $12; 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: $10

Timing

Timing for the event will be provided by Racing NJ, and results will be available online after the event.

Awards

Awards will be given out to the top 3 male and female finisher overall, as well as the top finishers 15 & under to 80 & over in 10 year increments. Winners must be present to receive their award.

Expand Your Horizons will take place rain or shine! Plan accordingly.

Directions

From NJ: GSP North. to Exit 151. Left onto Watchung Avenue. Park is on the right. From Central/South Jersey: Take Turnpike to GSP. Follow the directions above. From NY: George Washington Bridge or Lincoln Tunnel to New Jersey Turnpike South. Exit 15W for Route 280 West. Follow above directions.From NYC: DeCamp Bus Route #44 from Port Authoirty Bus Terminal to Bloomfield. Use the intersection of “Watchung Avenue and Circuit Drive” when obtaining directions from the Internet.

Parking

Parking will be available in the lots at the park. Please arrive early to guarantee a spot.

T-Shirts

Shirts will be given to all participants that register prior to the close of registration on April 16. If you plan to register on the day of the event, shirts will be given out on a *first come first serve* basis. The fee for same day registration is $30 for adults regardless of whether or not t-shirts are still available.
