The gentle rolling hills offer a challenge and change of pace from what is normally found in Black Mountain.
The Town of Black Mountain Recreation and Parks Department wants to welcome all of the runners, volunteers, and sponsors.
Runners will all enter as an individuals and be eligible for individual awards, with the the option to enter in the following categories
5K Top Teams: Husband/Wife, Mother/Daughter, Mother/Son, Father/Son, Father/Daughter, Brother/Sister, Sister/Sister, Brother/Brother & Open
5K Husband/Wife Teams: (combined ages-husband & wife)
Silver: 80 & under Gold: 81-99 Platinum: 100 & over
Spirit Award: Awarded to adult and youth runner with most
valentine spirit, so dress in your Valentine best!
5K Individual: Awards will go to the first finisher and runner-up overall (male & female) and to the top three finishers in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70 over.
Packet pick-up and early registration, 4:30 to 7:30 at Lakeview Center, 401
Laurel Drive, race site.
