Brief Description
The race is run primarily on 4 wheel drive dirt fire roads. There is one very long hill, spectacular views of the nearby Eastern Sierras, the Buttermilk country, and the entire Owens valley.
Conditions are dry, often hot in the afternoon, with high altitude, exposure and vertical gain.
Runners need to be prepared to stay hydrated, with sun protection and shady hats. Frequent access to drop bags will enable runners to change clothing, shoes or pick up supplies.
